WHAT WE CREATED…
After observing a relative’s recovery from foot surgery, we were inspired to design a self-balancing cane. Even if dropped, it always remains ‘standing’ to give users more freedom with increased safety.
INDUSTRY
The values shown in the chart were compared with the WHO’s estimates. From there, we derived the percentage of individuals over 50 with osteoporosis or low bone mass.
These percentages were then applied to the total population of men and women over 50 to estimate the absolute number of people suffering from these conditions.
Projections for 2010 and 2020 are based on population forecasts for these years. They are significantly higher than current figures due to both the aging population and the expected population growth.
